Welsh Federation of Coarse Anglers

Policy Guidelines for Conflicts of Interest for WFCA Executive Committee / WFCA Regional Committees / WFCA general membership.

 

The executive committee for and on behalf of the Welsh Federation of Coarse Anglers are hereby responsible for the introduction of policy and guidelines and are hereby responsible for the implementation of any such policy agreed by the executive committee. It is hereby agreed that at a meeting of the WFCA Executive Committee held at the Pencerig Gardens Hotel, Llandrindod Wells held on the 14th day of June 2002 that a Conflict of Interest Policy be adopted.

 

1. Committee Meetings

The Executive Secretary / Regional Secretary’s shall be responsible for drawing up agendas for any such meetings held by the WFCA.

 

The WFCA operates a conflict of interest policy and if any of the listed items/topics/subjects/ arise that any individual/group or otherwise stands to gain personally be it financially or otherwise must declare his/her/their involvement or interests.

 

Purchase of Buildings

Employment

Granting of honorarium

Leasing/renting buildings/lakes etc

Disciplinary meetings

Standing for re-election to any position within the WFCA

Applying for any post advertised by the WFCA

Disputes

 

2.       Procedure

(Part A)

If any of the above topics/items/subjects are listed on any such agenda of any WFCA meeting and any individual having any links or stands to gain personally be it financially or otherwise shall declare his/her/their involvement.

 

He/she/they shall first inform the respective Secretary Executive or Regional of any personal involvement or otherwise.

 

The respective Secretary shall make note of any such matters in relation to an individual/group or others declaration.

 

The respective Secretary shall inform the respective Chairman at any such meeting of the WFCA of a persons/group/other interests.

 

(Part B)

In the event of a declaration of interest being declared by any individual/group or others and he/she/they are in attendance at any such meeting when the topic/item or other is being discussed the Chairman shall in all cases be authorised to either;

 

(a)     Ask the person/persons or others to leave the meeting while the agenda item is being discussed.

(b)     The Chairman may grant the person/persons or other to remain in the meeting but will inform the person/persons/ or other that they are not permitted to vote on any matter that the he/she/they or other have declared a conflict of interest.
